Mike Roberts

Mike is never sure that what he does is specifically executive coaching or business consulting. It’s more a mixture of both. He brings decades of experience in frontline executive roles in large and small companies, as well as in management consulting, and latterly, of advising executives behind the scenes, frequently from a people-focused perspective. A lateral thinker, he’s often that person in the room who ‘sees things differently’, but is innately practical.

Prior to his consulting business, Mike was Chief Customer Officer at CallidusCloud, a Nasdaq listed sales automation software (SaaS) company. Formerly, he was President of a privately held logistics software company, a turnaround where he doubled sales and profit within 2 years.

In management consulting, including with The Alexander Group, Inc., he led sales transformation projects for major global companies, including salesforce.com, NetApp, Applied Materials and Sony Music.

Previously, as Snr Director at Sun Microsystems for over 10 years, initially as UK sales operations director, he went on to build a $1bn global account sales group and then led sales operations in Asia Pacific & Japan. During this time, he and his family relocated to the USA in 1998.

Before Sun, for nearly 10 years, he helped technology and software companies build world-class management teams across Europe, as one of the UK’s leading executive search consultants.

Mike benefited from executive development programs at AMD (Switzerland), Cranfield University (UK), Ashridge Management College (UK) and Babson College (Boston) as well as training in business strategy, management, transformation, sales effectiveness, compensation and human behavior.

Outside of business, Mike is a qualified yacht skipper, a high-performance driving enthusiast, a mountain biker, and an enthusiastic volunteer Steward and Board Director at the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, in Scottsdale, AZ.
